Dan Davis Bio
Dan is one of the most recognizable personalities in Arizona after 32 years on television. He's also been traveling his entire life, leaving home right after graduating from high school in Ohio to work at the Orme School Summer Camp in Arizona. During those years, Dan would help lead the popular Caravan, where kids and counselors piled into open stake trucks and spend 10 days traveling across Arizona, Utah and Colorado. His last summer there, Dan took a group of six kids on a month long drive deep in to Mexico, passing through Juarez, Mexico City, Oxaca, San Miguel and back up the western side of the country.
During nearly three decades at KTVK-TV Dan has seen and written about a big chunk of the world; London, Calgary, Germany, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Costa Rica plus two cruises where he broadcast live from the ship at sea. Dan has also traveled extensively with his family, so he knows what affordable really means and how to keep costs in line. It could also be argued that Dan knows as much about travel in Arizona as anyone in the state. Dan has traveled down the Colorado River twice, flown in to the Grand Canyon numerous times in a helicopter and even once reported from some overgrown railroad tracks in Northern Arizona that somebody wanted to run a tourist train from Williams to the Grand Canyon.
Dan met Staci Blunt during her many appearances on the popular Good Morning Arizona TV Show, and he's excited to join her here to share his expertise and love of travel.
